Idiotic fraudster and the IMF

We love, really love, the most ludicrous spam-scams we can find and this one is an absolute classic of its type.

The "from" tag is enough to make us aware that this is not going to be a real e-mail. It says "[hidden in case it's a spoofed address of an innocent person]@tim.it"
But the name that shows up is "International Monetory Fund" (sic)

The heading is "RE; COMPENSATED" - the semi-colon demonstrating that it's not truly a "re" inserted by a mailing program.

The reply address is "accounts@imfgroup.ga" - a fraudulent domain.

And then we get to the mail. Please don't giggle too much. We don't want to be held liable because you fell on the floor laughing.

Dear Beneficiary,

How are you today? Hope all is well with you and your family; you may
not understand why this mail came to you.

We have been having a meeting for the past Seven months which ended
Two days ago with the secretary-General to the UNITED NATIONS and the
director, international monetary fund (IMF). This email is for all the
people that have been scammed in any part of the world, the UNITED
NATIONS and international monetary fund (IMF) have agreed to
compensate them with the sum of US$ 5,000,000.00.

This includes every foreign contractors/Inheritance beneficiaries that
may have not received their contractual/inheritance payment, and
people that have had an unfinished transaction or international
businesses that failed due to Government problems etc. We want to
notify you that your E-Mail Address and your Name was in our list and
that is why we are contacting you, this has been agreed upon and has
been signed.

You are advised to contact Miss Grace Williams, United Nations
representative in handling this compensation funds payment,contact her
immediately for your USD$5,000,000.00 compensation fund. These funds
have been programmed in an ATM MASTER CARD for security reason. So you
are going to receive your ATM MASTER CARD from Miss Grace Williams,
and you can use it to withdraw your USD$5,000,000.00 in any ATM
MACHINE in any part of the world.

Therefore, you are advised to contact Miss Grace Williams immediately,
with the following information's, as well,

(1) Your full Name
(2) Telephone number
(3) Address
(4) Your Identification card, like international passport.
(5)occupation for processing and immediate payment.

And how many times have we seen the name Grace Williams crop up in spam-scams? Too many to remember!
