Just one hour after an HKMA fraudulent bank website warning... another one

At 17:58 this evening, we received a warning about a fake website for Hang Seng Bank (see story. At 18:58, a second warning arrived, this time about Wing Lung Bank. Here are the details

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public to a press release issued by Wing Lung Bank Limited on fraudulent website, which has been reported to the HKMA.

IT departments should see http://www.hkma.gov.hk/eng/oth... for a list of domain names that should be blocked for both webtraffic and mail.

Anyone who has provided his or her personal information to the website concerned or has conducted any financial transactions through the website should contact the bank concerned using the contact information provided in the press release, and report to the Police or contact the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.
