unwanted v unwarranted
Don't say that:
unwanted when you mean "unjustified"
Do say this:
unwarranted when you mean, er, unwanted.
Why?:
Unwanted means that you don't want it.
Unwarranted means unjustified.
So unwanted attention means unwelcome;
unwarranted means it is not justified.
