Basel Committee's mistaken view of Cryptoassets

On 13 March, the Bank for International Settlements Basel Committee issued a statement regarding "crypto-assets." Some of its basic assumptions are wrong and fundamentally misleading.

Basel Committee says China and the USA are "compliant." The EU is not.

Regulations implementing the Liquidity Coverage Ratio in China and the United States are assessed as “compliant” with the Basel framework, while the European Union is “largely compliant”.
